Beliefs
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and is the sole authority for faith and practice.
There is but one true and living God who exists in the unity of three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
God from eternity, decrees or permits all things that come to pass, and perpetually upholds, directs, and governs all creatures and all events.
Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, in the womb of the virgin Mary, thus taking to Himself a true human nature, so that He is both fully God and fully man in His one person forever.
God created man in His own image in a state of uprightness, but man forfeited his original righteousness through willful disobedience. Therefore, all men are born in a state of sin totally unable to do God's will, but wholly inclined to evil continually.
Before the creation of the world, God, out of the goodness of His grace alone, chose certain individuals from the fallen race of Adam to be heirs of Christ's salvation.
Jesus Christ voluntarily suffered and died as a penal substitute for all whom God had given to Him before the creation of the world.
All whom God has chosen are effectually called by the Holy Spirit out of the state of spiritual death into a state of life and faith in Jesus Christ.
Human beings are forgiven of their sin and declared righteous before God through faith in Christ alone.
All whom God brings to saving faith in Christ can never totally nor finally fall away, but are kept secure by God and shall certainly persevere in faith unto the end.
The Church is the universal Body of Christ composed of all true believers, regardless of denominational affiliation. The two practices which Christ commanded His Church to observe are baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Jesus Christ will return to earth personally and visibly in power and glory to resurrect, judge and consign either to heaven or hell both the saved and the lost.
